Life is an adventure
The wonderful thing about life is the vast potential it has for someone--anyone to tap into. There are endless capabilities and pathways a person can take. This can be daunting for anyone to realize as so often we try to limit our scope to the easy and the possible. We’ve talked before how often we end up becoming our own worst enemies either through fear of taking action or stalling out in our indecision. Sure, simplicity is comforting. It’s risk-free and it’s safe--We don’t burden ourselves with the potential for failure and humiliation, but like all the great men who came before us, we still feel a tug at our cores to achieve something great and seize the opportunity for adventure.
Magellan, Columbus, DeLeon, all famed and legendary adventurers that have withstood the test of time made sure that no matter what, nothing stood between them and their destination. They were pioneers fully aware that adventure necessitated sacrifice but was filled with the reward of glory and satisfaction. Purpose is the greatest factor to any human being because purpose can present itself in any color, any hue, and any shape. Each person on this planet and those orbiting this planet can say that they have something they live for and love to do. Our purposes shape us and define the meaning of our lives.
In the simplest terms, we all experience the thrill of traveling even if it’s just a few days for work we get the chance to look at something new. For many of us, it may seem monotonous, but expand your thinking for a second. When you travel, you immerse yourself in a whole new world, that up until that point had no idea you existed. The place where you set your feet has its own routine, its own culture, and its purpose. As strange as it is to realize, each town, no matter how mundane or rural is its own unique world. Everything can be an adventure. As I got to go to Nashville this week, I got to experience the convention centers, a new town, music city, and so many neat things. I took the opportunity to get up early and run through the streets. There was a whole new vein of life. Look through life as a child would, as though each opportunity is an adventure. Experience life with those around you, because you never know what part you’ll play in their adventure.
