Go Through Life Like You’re Driving A Porsche
One of the things most people don’t realize, if you’re driving a certain kind of car and you’re entering a hard turn, you have to accelerate into the turn. The car is a rear-engine vehicle, which means it requires more traction. This is a great life lesson because our life is often filled with hard turns and twists, whether we see them coming or not, it takes great amounts of mental stamina and preparation to deal with them, because we have to keep ourselves from steering off the road, colliding with other motorists, and ensuring the safety of yourself and your passengers. You have to know when to throttle, otherwise you’re going to lose control. This scares many people, they don’t have what it takes or are too intimidated to hit that accelerator, so they stall out or clog up the road, not realizing that they’ve become something of a threat to other drivers while they linger in the turn.
It’s hard to imagine a situation where charging into something is the safest option as opposed to slow, cautious progress. The funny thing about life is, there are no road maps or instruction manuals, you learn through observation and experience. Sometimes we’re wise enough to pick up on others’ mistakes but most often we learn by experiencing them ourselves. When steering into the skid or accelerating into the curve, we do so to shift our momentum and gain traction to propel us to where we need to go. When life throws something unexpected or difficult at us, we all react differently. Some of us have the reflexes or foresight to handle it quickly, pushing to move past through the turn and into the next stretch of road, others cannot handle and crash or simply meander through the turn--these people lose their steam and burn out, unable to carry forward and often lose energy in trying to build back up what they had. As hard as it is to implement, sometimes the best way to get through life means flooring the pedal to past the troubles and tribulations.
