Make your own luck

Someone has probably told that they’d rather be lucky than good, or that if they didn’t have bad luck they wouldn’t have luck at all. How strange to think that arbitrary happenstances of the universe have such profound effects on our conscious minds and thoughts. In reality, luck is derived from a combination of our mindset and our surroundings. You could be heading home from work and catch all twenty red lights. Of course you’re cursing your poor luck and wondering “why me?” but the catch here is that well, everyone who was riding behind or beside you got caught by those lights, too. If you keep people around you who are pushing you to be your best and reinforcing you with constructive input as opposed to blatant negativity, you’ll find that your outlook tends to appreciate the little things in life. Little things that add up to some fairly remarkable luck.

Fortune is defined by a culmination of wealth and resources or simply luck influenced by external sources. Well, it doesn’t take fortune to make a fortune. It takes hard work, so when I tell you to make your own fortune, I’m telling you to make your own luck--that’s what will bring you success. Don’t be discouraged by setbacks that have no affiliation to any physical source in your life. Things go wrong, that’s just how life works. Instead, surround yourself with people who bring out the positive traits and mindsets buried within and strive to become the best possible version of yourself. If you aren’t out there pushing to make your circumstances better, then any luck you have and any fortune you make is hardly yours and will fade just as quickly as it appeared.
